Immediate Area
Alcossebre and Las Fuentes are ideal for families and are within a 10 minute walk of one another along the beautiful flat sea-front promenade. Typical peaceful Spanish towns that have not been spoilt with the intrusion of high-rise tower blocks. This area is well renowned for its orange and almond groves. In January & February the almond trees start to come into blossom and in May it's "Orange Blossom Time".
If you are looking for a 'club' style holiday with Burger King and Lager louts– then this is not the place for you. However, if relaxation and friendly locals are more your thing - then you’ll simply love what the towns have to offer.

Things To Do
This area offers plenty to do and caters for a very wide range of tastes and interests. There are all the shops, bars and restaurants you could need, five beautiful beaches with European excellence Blue Flags providing a safe swimming environment for young and old alike, complete with volleyball nets; children's climbing frames and showers. Here in the summer you can hire jet skis & scuba equipment and go out to the island sanctuary a few miles off shore. Tennis, squash, bowling, horse riding & cycling are all-available nearby within the local community as well as yachting, a very large Market once a week and of course Fiesta's. The man-made Marina at Las Fuentas is home to sailing and power craft of all sizes and there is wind surfing off all the beaches as well as the opportunity to go scuba diving. And the golfer is not forgotten. We are blessed with 2 fantastic golf courses both within 35 minutes of Alcossebre. The shorter tighter golf course is called Club De Campo Del Mediterraneo, 30 minutes south down the A7. The longer but more forgiving golf course is Panoramica Golf & Country Club, 35 minutes North up the A7.

Apart from these two fantastic golf courses if you are prepared to travel up to an hour you can visit Campo De Golf El Saler (Valencia), Campo De Golf El Bosque (Valencia), Club De Golf Escorpion (Valencia), Bonmont-Terres Noves (Montroig, Tarragona) and we have a local 9 hole golf course called Club De Golf Costa De Azahar. If you are a golfer then you won’t be disappointed with this region, the courses are outstanding and better still tee times are no problem, and with arrangement we can offer temporary membership to the local golf society for cheaper green fees and tournament play.

Surrounding Area
In the surrounding area you will find numerous attractions to keep all age groups entertained. For example, to the North you will find the picturesque towns of Peníscola, and Vinaròs.
Vinaròs is renowned for its local specialty seafood dishes and each year in February they have a carnival which is on a par with the" Mardi Gras" in Rio, really well worth a visit at that time of year.
Just a short drive away you have the small towns of Alcala de Chivert & Benicarlo with its daily fish and vegetable market. Castellon the largest town in the area is about 20 minutes drive away. Or take a short drive inland and you are in the Maestrazgo mountains (land of the giants) where you can find small villages which have not changed for centuries, here you can eat the wonderful Tapas and barbequed meats from the area. The whole area is steeped in history from its Moorish past including El Cid, a regular visitor to the area. In fact the film was shot at the beautiful fortress town of Peníscola which also has Go-Cart racing available for the more adventurous or you may simply want to visit its majestic castle built by the Templar Knights in the thirteenth century. A unique building constructed in the austere style of Aragon and bare of adornment. This outstanding work was then extended by the Order of Montesa and by Pope Benedict XIII, better known as the "Papa Luna" [Moon Pope], who retired there after the schism from the West. Peñiscola has played a very important role in the most important events of Spanish history for many years. The town is nowadays the most visited tourist centre in the whole of the Valencian Community and the location for the film "El Cid.”

A one-hour drive further North is Port Aventura, which has a full sized Universal Theme Park and a Water Slide Park while to the South you will find Benicassim, which has a large Water World Park (20 minutes drive) and Castellón, which is wonderful for shopping.

Further south down the coast we can find the Natural Park "Parque Natural Del Prat de Cabanes-Torreblanca", an important humid area that conserves valuable fauna species and flora or, for those who prefer the fresher air of the mountains, in this area of Spain we have some of the most stunning views to be found anywhere…but don’t take our word for it, visit our picture gallery or better still, come and see it all first hand for yourself.
