Getting There – Directions – Planes, Trains and Automobiles
The Orange Blossom Coast is currently serviced by three international airports, Valencia and Reus being an hour south and north respectively and Barcelona approximately two hours away. With the introduction of the brand new airport at nearby Castellón, scheduled to open 2007-8, it will be even more accessible by air.
Roads are straightforward and uncluttered, making it an easy drive from the UK. There are also regular coaches from London Victoria station and an impressive rail service.

The A-7 motorway crosses the province from north to south, close to the coast, and has turn-offs to all the towns and village that are of interest of tourists.

Communication with northern and central Spain is facilitated by the Burgos-Sagunto and Santander-Vinaros main roads. The former passes through the region of El Alto Palancia. In addition, there is another main road (N-340) running almost parallel to the A-7 motorway, which is one of the busiest in the whole country.
The building of the motorway has made access to Castellon from Manises Airport (Valencia) much easier and far more comfortable. There is also an Aero club at Castellon which, although mainly used for flying club purposes, can also cater for light passenger aircraft.

Yet another way of reaching the Costa del Azahar is by train. There is a railway line crossing the whole province, and there are stations at all coastal resorts. For timetables just click the link on the left of this page.

By Road
Directions from Barcelona Airport:
Take the C-32 Motorway south (sign post for Tarragona). This road merges with the A-7; continue south towards Castellon/Valencia. Exit at Junction 44 (sign post for Torreblanca & Alcossebre). When exiting the toll booth turn left at the 1st junction and follow the road signs for Alcossebre along the N-340 for approximately 5Km. You will see signs for Capi Corp on your right. Go past these and then turn right where indicated (sign for Alcossebre – be careful! The turn is a sharp right hand turn) and follow the road for approximately 2 Km – continue past the petrol station on your right. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit and follow the “Carretera De Les Fonts” road towards "Las Fuentes" for approximately 2 Km. Continue straight across at the next two roundabouts onto “Pz.de Avda and then continue onto “de Manila” – there will be a yellow apartment block on your left and burgundy apartments on your right. At the end of the road turn left and follow “Matentivet” up the hill – you will pass a tennis court on your right. Keep going towards “El Pinar” until you have passed the houses on your right (parkland on your left) when you will then see a right turn into “Urb. Marcolina”. Take the right turn, pass a white building on your left and take the first right turn you come to. The apartment block will be directly in front of you. At the junction take the first left and then the first right onto the car park (a blue “apart hotel” will be on your left). Park up and take the steps from the car park towards the apartment. You want the left hand-side of the block in front of you. Ground floor, apartment no.5.

If it is our apartment at Alcala Blau that you are looking for simply follow the directions given above until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout take the first exit and follow the road down to the main town of Alcossebre. At the 1st set of traffic lights (there are only two sets in the whole town) go straight on. This brings you the second (and final) set of lights. Turn right and follow the road until you reach a junction with a very sharp left turn. A tip here is to use the mirror across the road to look for any oncoming traffic. Turn left and follow the coast road for approx 2km. You will pass the Romana Beach Hotel on your right. Keep going. When you see the road about to turn to the left you will also see a road diagonally run to the right and in the V of the road there is a triangular shaped building. Take the right turn (don’t worry if you miss it because you can go straight on and eventually take a right turn immediately passed Alcala Blau) and drive up the road for approx. 200 meters heading in land. There will be several road entrances / exits on your left. Take the last one and drive straight to the end where you can only turn left. Take the first left again and you will be at the car park gate behind Alcala Blau, Residential 1. Park in space no.16 and then have a fabulous holiday in apartment no. 5.
